Turns out conjure animals is a concentration spell. Last night I felt that it was too powerful and there had to be some sort of restrictions. Second question: I have been allowing him to Wild Shape as the calf and also conjure animals another one. He has access to creatures with a swimming speed but does this feel too powerful for a now 5th level adventurer? So my first question: bullettes have a burrowing speed. I set them up in an early adventure and they faced off against a bullette and some bullette calves (we started as 4th level characters) and the calves are CR 2, allowed to be used for Wild Shape. The Druid spellcaster in question is also new to D&D so it’s been a learning process.
